Cycle Torbay Community Interest Company (CIC) is a social enterprise offering cycling focussed educational and healthy activities.
Our mission is to promote cycling as a choice for active travel to communities in Torbay and to help improve the health and wellbeing of residents through cycling related activities and skills development.
FIX
We support communities to take care of their bicycles through pop up bike maintenance sessions and Learn-To-Fix workshops where we teach people of all ages a range of skills including how to care for their own equipment. We also intercept bikes heading to landfill, repairing them and distributing them back into the community.
RIDE
We build confidence through inviting people to participate or lead our social bike rides.
A Social Bike Ride can be anywhere from 500 metre to 20m miles. The Social Bike Rides begin at a prearranged starting point and end at a café or venue where participants can chat.
THRIVE
We support improved health and wellbeing through building a friendly welcoming community around cycling, helping to build connections, developing skills, providing volunteer opportunities and helping to protect the environment.

In some cases, we can collect bicycle donations, but there is usually a charge for this service. Please also be aware, that we are unable to take bikes that have been stored outdoors for some time – often in this case, the damage caused by outside elements renders the bike uneconomical to repair.
